1. Oxidation resistance of components:

The component begins to oxidize when used in air at 800℃. When the temperature reaches 1000-1300℃, a protective layer of silicon dioxide forms on the surface of the heating part. At 1300℃, cristobalite crystallizes. At 1500℃, the protective layer reaches a certain thickness, significantly slowing down the oxidation rate of the component and stabilizing it. If the temperature continues to rise above 1627℃, the protective layer is damaged, leading to a significant increase in the oxidation rate and premature failure of the component.

At around 1300℃, alkali and alkaline metal oxides react with silicon carbide, forming silicates, a process known as alkali-chemical attack, which significantly affects the red-hot degree of component heating.
